This round table (The Surnames of Guimarães: Origins and Expansion), comprised of historians and genealogists, will explore the origins of certain surnames that originated in the municipality of Guimarães; or those that, due to various circumstances, became associated with Guimarães, as well as their expansion during the great maritime explorations and subsequent migratory waves.
